This year’s queen show ended with a bang – quite literally. But despite the disruption, the show had to go on. The show was scheduled for Thursday 4th August, but was cut short due to a shooting incident at Carnival Village. It was then cancelled for the rest of the evening, with only the evening wear and question and answer segments left.

The show was continued on Sunday, 7th August as ruby reds, sea greens, passionate pinks and elegant purples flowed across the stage as the ladies stunned the crowd with their beautiful evening gowns.

Miss Twyla Richardson, Miss Black Orchid Florist, emerged winner and was crowned Miss Anguilla 2005 - 2006. She claimed Best Costume, Best Talent, Best Eveningwear, Best Interview and shared the title of Miss Congeniality with Danicia Hughes, Miss NBA.

Miss Charo Richardson, Miss ABF Services, First runner up, was awarded Best Swimsuit, Best Introductory Speech and Miss Photogenic.

Second Runner-up was Miss Kayedelle Hodge.
