SOCIAL LIFE: Many Celebrate With Dr. Bardfield

Saturday night, April 23, was an unforgettable experience for Dr. Louis Bardfield, members of his family and a large number of invited guests all of whom shared in a most delightful time. The occasion was the grand celebration of his 70th birthday.

The lavish party reception was held at the Anguilla Villa, the residence of Dr. and Mrs. Bardfield, at Little Harbour. The guests, from all over the island, including family and friends from neighbouring St. Maarten, the United States and elsewhere, were accommodated around a sprawling pool deck.

Three serving areas manned by excellent teams kept up a constant flow of service to the guests, one in particular being the outdoor kitchen where the chefs turned out an assortment of tasty pizzas in full view of everyone.

Of particular note also was that on arrival the guests were decorated with garlands and illuminated bands around their necks and rings on their fingers emitting flashing pearls of light as they walked around and interacted with each other.
The delightful and moon-lit evening was complemented by music and singing by Boss & Friends as well as songs by Audrey Rogers and Courtney Abel, a Barrister-at-Law and noted singer.

Midway in the function, Alan Bardfield, son of Dr. and Mrs. Bardfield, and an Optometrist in Connecticut in the United States, spoke in glowering terms about his father. He indicated that his birthday was an occasion he could not miss. In saying so he had also echoed the sentiments of the large number of guests who, too, were happy they did not miss the event.
