POISONING OF DOGS

Dear Mr. Editor

POISONING OF DOGS

I too experienced the feelings of loss and anger expressed by Mr. and Mrs. Martinez regarding the poisoning of their wonderful dog, Macduff.

About two years aback, I owned a local dog which I trained from a puppy and he was so loving both as a pet and a gentle guard. I was about to walk him out one early morning when I noticed that he was very sick. I took him to a Vet who diagnosed that he was poisoned. I guess it was too late to treat him and he died shortly afterwards.
This is cruelty to animals and there must be some law against such acts in Anguilla. Furthermore, it is dangerous for people to go about dropping poison for innocent animals. Something must be done to stop the practice.
