The Anguillian
Dear Sir:
STANDING TALL
I would appreciate a little space in your valuable newspaper to say something that makes me feel good. I want to let all Anguillians know that I, Winston Harrigan, am standing tall in support of our Government having been returned to office with full strength. It is all for the development of Anguilla and for its people.

I am of the opinion that many Anguillians are ungrateful for the progress we have made. We should lift up our eyes and hearts to God in praise for what we can see before us today. I think we should thank God down on our knees.
All of us are subject to mistakes. Therefore we should not try to destroy those who are trying to help. There are those who condemn the extension of the airport because of the dust and noise. We all forget the good old days when we had clouds of dust from our only airline for which we were thankful. Nobody grumbled but today the noise is a nuisance to the ungrateful. Every time I hear a jet take off, I’ll say ‘here Anguilla’s jets’. I think it is an honour.
In closing, I ask the Ministers of Government to put God in their lives and ask for his guidance and protection and we all shall overcome.
Thanks for the space.
Winston L. Harrigan
