Tribute To Atlin Harrigan by Mr. Ronald Webster |
| Publishing date: 11.02.2005 10:02 |
Mr. Atlin Harrigan lived for his family and his community. He was a dedicated servant of the people of Anguilla. He was definitely a shinning symbol and one of the most outstanding figures in Anguilla. He dedicated his life and limb for what he believed was fair and just for his people.

The late Atlin Harrigan
|
Atlin and I worked together for many years. Even though we did not agree with everything we got involved into, yet we were resolute in our beliefs.
The road traveled towards our accomplishments was long and torturous, sometimes dramatic and sometimes lonely, but at no time had there been doubt in our minds about the positive outcome which has been accomplished with great satisfaction.
Mr. Harrigan and I had one main goal in mind, that was to liberate Anguilla and its people from a tyrant Government lead by Mr. Bradshaw, the then Premier of St. Kitts – Nevis.

Mr. Ronald Webster
|
The task was not easy, but with God’s help and guidance we accomplished our mission.
We were aware that differences of views were bound to occur, and when they did, they were not to be regarded as obstructions in the way of progress but as opportunities for reconciliation until they were fully understood.
Although Mr. Harrigan suffered during his last years, he did not murmur. It was evident that even in his illness he was cheerful until February 2nd, 2005, in the afternoon, whenit pleased the Lord to close the chapter of his earthly life. He was taken away from the bustles and worries of life. and he is now comforted by and with the angels in Heaven.
He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him dearly.
I take this opportunity on behalf of the people of Anguilla to express our deepest sympathy to Mr. Harrigan’s family and friends.
May this faithful servant of humility and humanity rest in peace.
