Windball Tournament Ends Sunday |

A closing ceremony and the presentation of trophies to winning teams and top cricketers on Sunday January 23, will bring the Anguilla Windball Tournament to an end.

Four teams qualified for the upcoming finals on Sunday.
The last four matches were played on Sunday, January 16 at Blowing Point and Sandy Ground.
In the Men’s Division De Best forfeited their points to Point United after failing to turn up for their match at 11:00 a.m. in Sandy Ground.

East Eagles against Blue Jays headed for the Finals
|
At Blowing Point the Blue Jays defeated the East Eagles after bowling them out for 76. Responding, the Blue Jays made the runs for the loss of two wickets. Alex Adams led the scoring for the Blue Jays.
In the Female Division, Force 2 Reckon With beat the Youngsters in a keenly contested game at Sandy Ground beginning at 2:00 p.m.
Losing the toss and batting first, Force 2 Reckon With made 79, with Monique Proctor top scoring with 28 runs. Farrah Banks and Katrina Richardson contributed 11 and 8 respectively. Renicia Romney took 2 wickets for the Youngsters.
In reply, the Youngsters scored 62 all out with Michlene Mussington and Sandy Leverette being the only batsmen to make it into double figures, scoring 12 and 11 respectively. Monique Proctor was the leading wicket taker for Force 2 Reckon with 3 wickets, while Blondell Laurent, Katrina Richardson and Farrah Banks took 2 wickets apiece.

Razor Massive and Pacers battling it out for the Finals

At Blowing Point, Razor Massive defeated the Pacers at 2 p.m. Astra Rogers led the way with 42 runs for the Razors, while Semone Webster made 20 runs of the team’s total of 111.
Chelsea Carty took 3 wickets for the Pacers while Laverne Herbert took 2 wickets.
In response, the Pacers could only muster 42 all out with Seline Greaves top scoring with 7 runs. Talitha Webster, playing her first game for the tournament, took 3 wickets for the Razor Massive. Jane Smith and Shamella Vanterpool each took 2 wickets.
Sunday’s matches, which will be played at the James Ronald Webster Park will begin at 10:30 a.m. when the Blue Jays and Point United will clash. At 1:30 p.m. Razor Massive will come head to head with Force 2 Reckon With.
