The scholarship, tenable at the University of Wisconsin, has been won by Lenora Vanessa Connor, Assistant Manager, Operations/Accounts at the CCB.
She currently holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Financial Services from Nippissing University, in Canada, having completed the Associate Programme of the Institute of Canadian Bankers in Financial Products and Business for Bankers.
Ms Connor has been with the Caribbean Commercial Bank since 1994. She is directly responsible for the supervision of 15 - 20 personnel including frontline staff members and their immediate supervisors.
The just announced scholarship began in November this year. It is a joint cooperative arrangement between the Prochnov Educational Foundation and the Caribbean Association of Indigenous Banks. The scholarship was offered to bankers in the Caribbean region who would be entering their first year at the Graduate School of Banking, Madison.
For 60 years that institution has provided exceptional advanced management education for financial services professionals. The Graduate School of Banking is recognised nationally as the premier institution offering the most comprehensive curriculum. It is a world-renowned school with state-of-the-art facilities.
Many of the nearly 1900 alumni graduates now occupy positions of leadership in their banks, the industry and their communities.
