Caribbean Juris Chamber: 21 Years Old

Caribbean Juris Chambers, one of the leading law firms in Anguilla, celebrated its 21st Anniversary on Friday September 24, with a lavish party for staff, friends, colleaques and members of the general public.

The function was held at Hanah-Waver House, at the Caribbean Commercial Centre, which accommodates the entire law practice of Mr. John Benjamin, Benjamine’s Group of Companies and other related businesses.

Newly-elected President of the OECS Bar Association, Courtney Able, who was among the large number of persons in attendance, commented: “Twenty-one years is a milestone in any situation and I have known John much longer than that. I know his struggles, tribulations and successes... I congratulate him wholeheartedly for having survived the trials to this point and I wish him all the very best.”

Mr. Benjamin’s partner and friend, Dennis Sheehan, had this to say: “Clearly, as Head of Chambers, he has brought this firm for 21 years to all the people here in Anguilla. That’s why he has so many clients and friends that keep following and joining him. John has brought forth in this community a wonderful law practice with a reliable and dependable service. We can count on him.”

Among the partying crowd was Mr. Benjamin’s long-time friend and avid supporter of his Talk Your Mind radio programme, Mildred Vanterpool. “Congratulations to my sweet son. May the Lord spare his life to see many more anniversaries, even if I don’t”, she said.

Mr. Benjamin was grateful to all his clients, friends and members of the public who supported and encouraged him over the years. He also thanked all the staff and lawyers who have worked at Caribbean Juris Chambers; all businesses including Caribbean Commercial Bank, Scotia Bank and other banks; and hotels like Cap Juluca and Malliouhana.

“I thank you all very much for your kind support,” he added.
