| Publishing date: 13.02.2004 11:09 |
The Valley community was in shock on Wednesday morning February 10 occasioned by the drowning of 42-year-old Sonia Rosalind Brooks, who fell in her cistern.
|
She was believed to have gone to draw water, somehow lost her balance and fell into the cistern which is located in the kitchen section of her residence. The cistern, which has a depth of about six feet, was filled from the recent rains. She was some five feet tall.
Miss Brooks was described as having been an active person around the house and neighbourhood. She is survived by one son, Valentine, 21 and other close relatives.
Her body was taken to Rey’s Funeral Home.
The Anguillian offers its condolences to the grieving relatives and friends of the deceased.
