Class teacher Felicia Simmonds expressed her gratitude for the books and explained that she found the donated books to be a very useful teaching support tool. Since the class started using the books in October 2002, she has observed a tremendous improvement in the students’ attitude and performance. According to her, the students are “more involved and ready to share their ideas because the topics [covered in the books] relate to everyday life”. She further described the books as “an ideal programme”.

Given the unanimous satisfaction with the programme, Officer of Multi-professional Services, Rhonda Connor, expressed her wish to see the other levels of the programme used in the school. Timothy Hodge, one of the Directors of the Anguilla Community Foundation, responded that the two institutions that he was representing would be happy to oblige to such a request.
