Khalid Brooks and Curlee Gumbs also competed in the games and recorded their personal best in both the 100 meters and 200 meters. While they did not win any medals they would have benefited from participating in the highly competitive events.

The Anguilla Amateur Athletic Association would like to thank J W Proctors and Social Security, the sponsirs of Shara and Curlee. The Association also hopes that Shara’s success will be in an inspiration to other young athletes and that they will now appreciate that with hard work and commitment they too can achieve success in regional competitions.
