MORE HELP FOR ANGUILLA'S HEALTH PLAN
|
Anguilla is getting further assistance with the development of its National Health Plan which includes the establishment of a Health Authority and a National Health Insurance. Two officials of the Pan American Health Orgnisation, Marilyn Entwistle and Shirley Augustin, began a short-term consultancy here this week funded by the Department For International Development.
The terms of their six-week consultancy were discussed with officials in the Ministry and Department.
According to Health Planner, Foster Rogers, the National Health Authority Project Board has completed most of its work with respect to the development of the structure, policies and function. There is now a need to put the over-arching heath plan in place as well as the fee structure.
It is hoped that everything will be on place by July 1 this year.
