Cricket World Cup On All Island Cable TV |
All Island Cable Television will cover the live broadcast of the Cricket World Cup matches.
The 54 matches will be available to all cable subscribers on Anguilla at no additional charge.
All Island CATV is proud to announce a partnership with Scotiabank Anguilla Limited who has joined forces with Cable TV in an effort to help defray the high costs of this broadcast. Scotiabank is the Official Bank of West Indies Cricket and Exclusive Sponsor of Kiddy Cricket and should be congratulated for their enthusiasm and support of our National sport.
According to the company’s Manager, Mrs. Barbara Owen, All Island CATV has historically absorbed the costs of broadcasting international cricket matches to the fans in Anguilla and hopes to continue to do so in the future despite the rapidly increasing costs of such broadcasts but the company is always proud to partner with local companies for joint sponsorships.
Mrs. Owen further stated that the entire Caribbean Region was nearly left without the possibility of broadcasting these matches because of the high costs and difficulties involved in obtaining the broadcast rights for the World Cup. All Island Cable TV applauds the Caribbean Media Corporation in Barbados for successfully negotiating the broadcast rights for the region.
The matches are scheduled to begin on February 8th, on Cable Channel 39.
Mrs. Owen also stated that the company has carried out all the necessary technical equipment tests to ensure that their customers receive the quality coverage and service they are accustomed to receiving from Cable TV throughout these matches.
