2002 CLOSES WITH NATIONAL AWARDS

December 19, 2002 was the date of the second annual presentation of National Sports Awards for “sporting heroes and heroines – past and present in Anguilla.”

The event at Cocoloba Resort, attracted a large number of persons with many among them receiving awards for various contributions to sports (See group photo).

Among the other awards were Sports Personality of the Year which went to cricketer Alex Adams and Sports Administrator of the Year taken by Raymond Guishard of the Anguilla Football Association.

The Anguillian was named as Media Personality of the Year, an award received with thanks to its father and son prolific sport writers David and Zach Kenworthy.
