Anguilla was proudly represented by Shawne Bryan, Leonicia Rey Richardson and Latoya Scarbro, all three students at Johnson & Wales University. The purpose of the Island Fest under the theme “When Cultures Collide,” was to get Caribbean students involved in showcasing the uniqueness of their island and their culture as international students. Each island had its own booth which contained information, brochures, pictures and many more items that were used to advertise and educate those who attended this event.
The Anguillian team proudly represented and marketed Anguilla at their booth where, shirts, bags, literature, and other material about the island were distributed. The items were donated by the Anguilla Tourist Board. Members of the Anguilla team wore attire that was specially designed for the event.
