New Faces In Anguilla's Political Arena
|
There will be new faces in the political area in Anguilla for the island’s next General Election. This is according to a release from the Anguilla Democratic Party which was brought to The Anguillian on Wednesday this week by former Permanent Secretary in the Public Service, Julian Harrigan.

Mr. Julian R. Harrigan

In delivering the party’s release, Mr. Harrigan disclosed that he will be the potential candidate for the Valley South Constituency.
The full text of that release reads as follows:
“The Anguilla Democratic Party would like to inform the general public that the Party is in progress of reorganising itself under the principles of its constitution. In this regard we are encouraging all former members, dormant members or interested individuals to register as supporters or members of the Anguilla Democratic Party.
“Anguilla needs a strong Party and Government. The Anguilla Democratic Party is preparing itself to be the alternative to the present administration. The interest of all Anguillians and the future of our island are its primary concerns.
“As we have passed the halfway point of this current administration, the people of Anguilla are faced with probably the most important political decision they may ever have to make.
“Do we elect the same members of the House of Assembly as we have done for the past twenty years or more, or do we consider an alternative to them?
“All persons interested in joining or learning about the Party can contact Mr. Leroy Rogers at 729 3631 or Mr. Julian R. Harrigan at 235 7094.”
