Police Undergoing Customer Relations Training

Various members of the Royal Anguilla Police Force ranking from Constables to Sergeants have been attending a four-day course in Customer Service.

Training Officer for the Police, Sergeant Annette Duncan, told the brief opening ceremony that the training was aimed at creating among officers a greater appreciation for efficient customer service. “It is an effort to provide quality service to the people we serve. The training is most fitting and timely to help foster a more understandable relationship with the public,” she added.
The training facilitators are Ijahnya Christian, Ernie Hodge-Carty and Dr. O. M. Linda Banks. The subject areas include Defining Customer Service, Powerful Telephone Techniques, Communication for Success, Creating Successful Change, the Hidden Differences that make a Professional, Anguilla Culture, Managing and Creating Change and How to be a professional under Pressure.
The first session of the training was arranged for Tuesday to Friday, February 12 - 15. The second session will run from February 19 - 22 next week.
