Eye TV has had much success in the Turks and Caicos Islands and is frequently viewed by all of the tourists as numbers have shown that they tend to view the channel at least twelve minutes a day. The production will be done in High Definition therefore providing an enticing aesthetic quality. All of the various segments will be done from an informational and cultural point of view so that they are not so advert oriented. In the past, shows have been produced once a year but Donna mentioned that she plans to change the show at least four times a year. More details were provided in the flyer distributed: “The structure will be a ‘show’ format without severe delineations between segments. It should be seamless from one segment to another, but will be produced in such a way as to be edit-friendly – whereas we can add and remove segments easily. Some production elements will include :15 health and wellness tips – safe driving rules – keeping hydrated in the sun – sunscreen advice to keep from burning – some local cultural points of interest that keep the Caribbean heritage in the forefront of the viewers minds.”

Lee Bertman and Barbara Owen from Caribbean Cable Communications were on hand as well to pledge their support and excitement. Mr. Bertman said that a tourist channel was tremendously needed in Anguilla and praised Donna Davis for her work as she has been working in the industry for 15 years. Both John Benjamin and Amelia Vanterpool-Kubisch also showed excitement and support for this fabulous marketing opportunity for Anguilla. Mrs. Davis also mentioned that they will begin to actively seek an Anguillian presenter for the show who only needs the following qualifications: must be born and raised in Anguilla, must have a beautiful smile and finally, must not be camera shy. More information will be made soon about advertising opportunities to the public.
