|
“The sun is shining again so I hope it is a sign for us. We are looking for an absolutely exciting 2007/2008 season and a lot is going on at CuisinArt Resort & Spa”. So said General Manager, Stephane Zaharia, as the hotel reopened for its first guests for the new tourism season on Monday, October 29. The rainy period he alluded to over the past days has had a refreshing and rejuvenating effect on the exotic gardens surrounding the property, adding much to its attractiveness.

“We have a new concept called the Chef Table which will replace the kitchen stadium,” Mr. Zaharia went on. “It will be able to cater for up to eighteen guests and it is basically a menu that is the creation of our very talented Chef Denise and Chef Atheina. Our diners will be able to experience the creativity and the refinement of food directed by Chef Denise.”
He reported that the resort was now finalising the expansion of its spa which would be opening between the middle of May and the beginning of June. The spa currently has seven treatment rooms which will be increased to sixteen. He said the spacious spa would include among other facilities a state-of-the-art gym and a thalasso pool very unique to Anguilla and Caribbean. “The pool is basically salt water with a great amount of minerals and the treatments will rejuvenate our guests who go in there and they will come out as fresh and new as they never thought they would,” stated.
“We have a lot of human resources initiatives that we are very excited about,” he continued. “Our fantastic staff is very dear to another successful season and we look forward to contribute to the local community and to the tourism industry in Anguilla.”
Meanwhile, Mr. Zaharia told the 320 workers to complete their last-minute preparations for the opening of the hotel and the welcoming of the arriving guests and to have an enjoyable season.
Earlier, Human Resource Manager, Carleeen Gumbs, in addressing the staff, said that over the years CuisinArt had been a training and leading organisation on the island. “It has made an unquestionable genuine commitment to enhancing the academic and professional ability through making available the opportunity to staff to further their education and skills,” she said.
