Police Report Seven More Burglaries

There were seven burglaries in Anguilla over the past week, the same number as the week before.

This was told to reporters on Wednesday, October 10, during the weekly police briefing conducted by Acting Commissioner, Illidge Richardson, and Acting Detective Inspector, Randolph Yearwood.

The burglaries were at one business place, two government buildings and four private homes. One of the burglaries was solved by the police while the others are being vigorously investigated Yearwood said.

There were also seven reports of theft which occurred in the areas of North Valley, Rey Hill, The Valley, South Hill and Island Harbour. Four of the offences were solved by the police who arrested and charged three persons.

“We have found in these burglaries and thefts that the main items stolen jewellery or money,” Yearwood said.
