It was organised by the Community Relations Department of the Royal Anguilla Police Force in association with Health and Guidance Counsellors, School Nurses, Primary Health Care and the Probation Department.
The aim of the programme was to address issues relating to delinquency among Campus B first year students entering from the primary schools.
The first of its kind in Anguilla, the orientation included presentations on Hygiene, Discipline, Drugs, Sexual Health, Anger Management and Nutrition.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Sergeant Chrispen Gumbs outlined the reasons for the training and hoped it would prove to be useful in developing the young minds.

Gratitude was extended to the police by Principal of the School, Ingrid Lake, who saw it as an effort to help the students develop their personal lives and to be of the best behaviour.
Minister of Social Development, Evans Rogers, joined in commending the police for their thoughtfulness in introducing the programme. He welcomed the new students and encouraged them to take their education seriously.
Similar comments were expressed by Education Officer for Primary Education, Veda Harrigan. She hoped that the programme would have a positive effect on the behaviour of the new students and was grateful to their parents for ensuring that they were in attendance for the orientation.
