Obituary: Paula Mack, A Friend of Anguilla


Paula Mack, a well-known live wire and longstanding member of the Rotary Club of Anguilla and a friend of the island, has died at the age of 72.

An announcement received by The Anguillian from Crabiel Parkwest Funeral Chapel in New Brunswick, New Jersey, stated that Mrs. Pearl “Paula” Mack of the Someset section of Franklyn Township, died at the Regency Heritage Rehab & Care Centre in Somerset.

Born in New Brunswick, Mrs. Mack resided in the Caribbean for most of her life, with the past 27 years in Anguilla.
Paula was an active volunteer both in New Brunswick and in Anguilla. She was active in the American Red Cross, the International Rotary Club, the Central NJ Jewish Home for the aged in Somerset, the Anguillian Rescue Squads, the Anguilla Chamber of Commerce and the Princess Alexandra Hospital. She was an elegant lady and a stylish dresser who enjoyed spending time with her children.

Daughter of the late Philip and Anna (Levine) Sheff, she is survived by her children: Peter C. & Randi L. Mack, both of Somerset; her sister and brother-in-law Ina & Alan Stull of Creamridge, News Jersey; and her ex-husband, Richard Mack of North Brunswick.
