The Caribbean Students Organization is the brainchild of Dr. Randy Glean, a professor at Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Texas. Its program is geared at recruiting Caribbean students. While at Midwestern State University, students often enjoy small classes and cost effective schooling. Since its inception in the early 1990’s, over 400 Caribbean students have earned a first degree. At least 200 of them have continued by pursuing Masters degrees and some 30 persons have pursued Doctoral degrees in a variety of fields
Senior students with the Caribbean Students Organization visit graduate schools such as the Universities of Texas, Arkansas, Alabama, Washington University and Stephen F. Austin University. These visits help students identify a school and program that best suits their career pursuits. Upon completion of their education members of the Caribbean Students Alumni Association often make important contributions to the region.
