Anguilla Junior Golf

In an attempt to achieve enjoyment and excitement many children turn to sport and through their participation they learn important life skills. Sport offers the opportunity to experience the rewards of personal achievement and golf in particular teaches self-discipline, co-operation and respect. Twenty- two children between 8 to 16 years of age have just finished a month long Spring Golf Clinic hosted by Temenos Golf Club.

All aspects of the game were covered including; putting, chipping, half swing and full swing. Most of the clinics finished with a competition and great prizes such as brand new golf clubs and golf bags generously sponsored by Flag /St. Regis Residences were awarded to the winners.

Thanks must also go to Luke Thomas at Play–A- Round Mini Golf for the use of his facility on two occasions.

The PGA Professionals who conducted these clinics along with volunteers from the Anguilla Golf Association, believe that through the medium of golf, children are able to gain both valuable personal skills that will help them later in life and of course lead to lots of enjoyment.
We will continue Junior Golf Clinics throughout the Summer, for more information contact bmorgan@troongolf.com.
