Strange Boat In Anguillian Waters

A large canoe-like open boat, with its hull littered with barnacles and a few items of clothing onboard, was found in the north-western waters of Anguilla.

The mysterious boat

The origin of the mystery craft is unknown to local Police, Customs and Immigration officials. The boat carries no specific identification marks other that badly written and partly erased numbers.
The Police said it was found with empty gas cans and one outboard engine and was being treated with suspicion. The crude-looking 20-foot vessel, uncommon in this area, is in Police custody.
Two abandoned yachts were recently discovered in the eastern and north-western waters of Anguilla. One has since been claimed by its US owners.
