Up to Monday this week twelve islands had confirmed their participation. These are Antigua and Barbuda, British Virgin Islands, Curacao, Dominica, Grenada, Guyana, St. Kitts, St. Lucia, St. Maarten (French and Dutch), Trinidad and Tobago and host island, Anguilla.

The contestants will be in Anguilla two days before the pageant, participating in various activities planned for them. During the show, each contestant will make five appearances in each of the following categories: fanfare, promotional speech, talent, evening wear and interview.

“Digicel is thrilled to again be a part of this exciting event and wishes every contestant the best of luck,” Stephenie Brooks, Country Manager for Anguilla said. “Digicel is honoured to support this pageant and commends The Anguilla Talented Teen Committee for their dedication and hard work. This has resulted in the excellent reputation the pageant carries.

Digicel is sponsoring the pageant in the sum of US$15,000. The Anguilla Government is contributing US$5,000 for prizes in view of the pageant being one of the events listed for the Anguilla Day cekebrations.

Pageant organisers Romare Kelsick and Karl Woodley thanked Digicel for being the platinum sponsor for its commitment to the pageant and through its support, making a difference in the lives of the young ladies.

Working with Kelsick and Woodley are other committee members, Cherise Gunbs, Germain Brooks, Sharon Richardson, Zonnelle Richardson, Melisa Hamm, Hubert Carter and Valentine Brooks.

This year’s fanfare, choreographed by Artistic Designer Barry George of St. Lucia, will pay tribute to each contestant’s country as displayed through traditional dresses and country flags.
Tickets are priced at US$15/EC$40 for adults and US$8/EC$20 for children.
