Shortly after her arrival in Anguilla, Mrs. Livesey was guest at a cocktail reception at Government House where she was welcomed by the President of the Guide Association, Watanalak George, wife of His Excellency The Governor. It was there that the programme of activities to mark the 75th anniversary of Girlguiding in Anguilla was launched.

The Girlguiding official presented the President’s broach to Mrs. Watanalak, who said she looked forward to working with the Association and with the youth to help them grow into young women that the island could be proud of.
At a press briefing later, Guide Commissioner in Anguilla, Dr. O. M. Linda Banks, said: “I am very happy that Mrs. Livesey is here to breathe new life into our organisation through her training and advisory skills and to help us to launch our anniversary.”
According to Mrs. Livesey, there are nine branch associations throughout the world and it was her pleasure to be the volunteer advisor to provide training and support to those branches.
The associations are in Anguilla, Bermuda, BVI, Cayman Islands, Montserrat, Gibraltar, St. Helena which includes Ascension Island, Turks & Caicos and the Falkland Islands in the South Atlantic.
