There was a huge outlay of food and refreshment, more than enough for the milling throng. The Chinese nationals were served with menus prepared by their own chefs and some of them joined many other persons in enjoying an assortment of food cooked by local caterer, Orelia Connor.

Adding to the enjoyment and pleasantness of the night was continuous musical entertainment by D J Sugar, sending the vast crowd under the tent, and on the surroundings, in gay abandonment.

The vast crowd observed the timing of the delightful occasion in that by 9.30 they were already leaving the development area with much to remember.
