CCB Female Football League


The C.C.B. Female Football League was alive and kicking last week. On Wednesday Lil Soldiers crushed Super Stars by a score of 5 goals to 1. Melesa Anderson scored 4 goals and Shelissa Williams netted the other goal for Soldiers while Melissa Carty scored the lone goal for Super Stars. Melesa Anderson was named M.V.P. for her outstanding performance in the midfield.

On Friday Gazelles squeezed past De Youngsters by a score of 2 goals to 1. Judiana Vanterpool and Krystie Webster scored for the Gazelles while Sharice Richardson scored a beauty from long range for De Youngsters. Krystie Webster was adjudged the player of the game.

Meanwhile on Sunday, in the first match, De Youngsters and Shining Stars played to an exciting two all draw. Isabel Rosario and Glennicia Richardson scored for the defending champions, while Kennisha Xavier and Tiquania Lake scored for De Youngsters. Esther Ward was named player of the game for her superb work in the goal. In the second encounter, Lil Soldiers trounced Gazelles by a score of 3 goals to nil. Melesa Anderson was again in great form scoring two goals for Lil Soldiers while, player of the game Keturah Caines scored the other goal.

Action continues ttoday, Friday April 20th, at 4:00 pm with Shining Stars doing battle against Lil Soldiers. On Sunday 22nd at 3:00 pm Gazelles play Lil Soldiers and at 4:00 pm Shining Stars play Super Stars.

Both matches will be played at the Ronald Webster Park Annex.
