U-13 Male National Team

On Saturday 7th March 2007 the U-13 male national team travelled to St. Martin to participate in the Alberic A. Richards Memorial Football Tournament. The participating teams were Anguilla, St. Kitts, St. Martin and St. Maarten. Anguilla placed second in this competition with St. Martin awarded first place and St. Kitts 3rd place.

In the first match Anguilla vs St. Martin the scores were Anguilla 0 and St. Martin 1; and in the match Anguilla vs St. Maarten the scores were Anguilla 2 and St. Maarten 0. The goal scorers from Anguilla were Cadeem Daniels & Tristan Richardson.

In Anguilla’s final match against St. Kitts, at half time St. Kitts scored 1 goal and Anguilla 0. During the second half Tristan Richardson equalized for Anguilla. At the end of the game St. Kitts 1 Anguilla 1.

CCB Female Football League
Action continued in the C.C.B. Female Football League last weekend. On Sunday in the first game of the double header Super Stars and Gazelles played to a one all draw. Mauricia opened the scoring for Gazelles in the seventh minute of the first half with a shot from close range. One minute from full time, Shaddie produced the equalizer for Super Stars after latching on to a corner from Melissa Carty. Mauricia Saddler was named player of the game. In the second encounter, defending champion, Shining Stars narrowly defeated Lil Soldiers by a score of 2 goals to 1. It was a very exciting and entertaining match.
Clardeena opened the scoring for Shining Stars early in the first half. Soldiers then conceded an own goal, before Melesa Anderson scored the lone goal for Lil Soldiers, seven minutes from the end of the game. Isabel Rosario of Shining Stars was named the player of the game for her outstanding work in defence.

Action continues in the C. C. B. Female League on Wednesday 11th March when Super Stars come up against Lil Soldiers at 4:00 pm; and on Friday 13th March 2007 at 4:00 pm Gazelles do battle against Youngsters. Sunday 15th March 2007 is a double header. In the first game Shining Stars FC will play Youngsters FC, while in the second match Gazelles will play Lil Soldiers. All matches will be played at the Ronald Webster Park Annex.
