Those who officiated at the special service were Dr. Vincent A. David, Pastor and Education Secretary with the North Caribbean Conference of Seventh-day Adventists, who preached the sermon; Pastor Charles Heske, Ministerial Secretary, and Resident Minister Pastor Danny Philip.
“After your ordination, you are not only an Elder or a Deacon in Church, but you are an Elder and a Deacon at home, on your job, in the community, down at the Blowing Point Pier, on the Airport or in other places,” Dr. David told them.

He admonished the church officials, whose spouses sat with them, that their lives were being set aside for God’s service and they must be clean. “If you mess up, clean up. If you are not straight and you are crooked, get straight…If you are going to serve well, you must have clean hands and pure hearts.”
Dr. David went on: “God has called you from darkness into His marvellous light to serve our fellowmen. It is not about being at the top. It is about service. You and I have been claimed for a purpose and when the blood of Jesus Christ touches our lives, we are ready to serve. It is not a right; it is a privilege to serve. My prayer is that every member of the Church would surround you withy prayer and support so that your service can be acceptable unto God as your reasonable worship.”
Pastor Philip then invited the Elders, Deacons and their spouses to stand as he introduced them to the gathering.
