Cable & Wireless Honours Under 15 Captains In Directory

On Wednesday this week, Cable & Wireless launched its 2007-2008 Services Directory featuring on the front cover the Under 15 Cricket Team captains in Anguilla from 1995 to the present time.

In the photograph are captains Chaka Hodge, Lyndel Richardson, Dillon Skellekie, Junior Johnson, Daniel Proctor, Shridath Rey and Nordel Lake. Absent is Jamal Carter. They are accompanied by Coach Cardigan Connor, Team Manager, Rommel Hughes and Sports Director, Alkins Rogers.
“The significance of this particular directory is that from since 1995 Cable & Wireless has sponsored the Under 15 Cricket Team … and the [directory] is co-branded ICC Cricket World Cup. We really want our customers to fully understand how much cricket is our passion,” said Corporate Communications Manager, Avon Carty. She noted that the telecommunications company was not only involved in sponsoring local cricket, and the home team, for 18 years but also on a regional level and now a major sponsor of the current ICC Cricket World Cup.

She said the photo was taken around the flick pitch at Sandy Ground which Cable & Wireless donated for the development of the Under 15 cricketers. She said the company was proud to feature the youngsters on the front cover of its directory and that inside was a schedule of the World Cup series to enable customers to follow the matches.
