Wednesday, February 14, is Customer Appreciation Day, when Fairplay Group of Companies in Anguilla will welcome members of the public on a tour of the insurance branch.
Friday, February 16, will see a cocktail reception at La Terrace Restaurant at Port de Plaisance Hotel in Cole Bay, St. Maarten, at which there will be representatives from Anguilla and the other islands.
NAGICO began operations in Anguilla 24 years ago at Malliouhana Insurance Company and later became an agency of Fairplay Group of Companies, whose President is Quincy Gumbs.
According to a press release, NAGICO started out in St. Maarten with a premium income of only $237,000 in 1982. Ten years later the company wrote insurance coverage in excess of $61 million. The skeleton staff has grown considerably in the now 13-member islands, with direct and indirect employment for over 200 persons.
