Social Security Endorses Reading In The Primary Schools "The Future Is Yours. READ,READ,READ!"


The Education Department of Anguilla was, this week, the recipient of 1000 water bottles from the Anguilla Social Security Board. This donation promoting the theme “ The Future Is Yours. READ, READ, READ!” is in support of Reading within the primary schools.

Education Officer, Mrs. Jacqueline Connor, accepted the bottles on behalf of the department she said that the kind gesture symbolized great commitment on the part of Social Security in ensuring that the needs of students’ needs were met. Mrs. Connor used the opportunity to express congratulatory remarks to Social Security on behalf of the department for its 25 years of service to the people of Anguilla.”.

Assistant Director, Social Security, Mrs.Maglan Richardson expressed the Board’s commitment to Anguilla’s development and commented that the best way to develop and grow a nation was to educate its people. She indicated that this must start in the primary and pre-primary years of schooling and reading must be an area of focus.
