Play-a-round Haunted House: Costume Party

Anguilla’s 18 hole Miniature Golf and more… entertainment complex opened the new season with a Halloween Costume Party for children of all ages this past Sunday. Complete with a spooky House, ghosts, goblins and scary music, Play-a-Round was transformed into a thrilling Halloween Bonanza for the 75 or more costumed children with their parents who also attended to cheer on their “Goblins and Princesses” in the First Annual Anguilla Costume Contest and Party.

Children started arriving to the Bash at 5 pm as soon as the main gate opened. By 6:30 as dark descended, Play-a-Round was home to Princesses, Dracula’s, Clowns, Jelly beans Kids, Sailors, Tigers, Devils, Ballerinas, Cave people and even “Elvis” and “Elvira” showed up! A terrifying “hunched back” looking creature was occasionally seen among the crowd and then quickly disappeared!

With the wonderful assortment of wild and fun characters all assembled together at the club house, they paraded down to the Haunted House at the end of the park. With eerie music, fog, Dark lights, ghosts, goblins, and illuminated skeletons, the band of costumed children were thrilled in the haunted house! The “hunched back” looking creature appeared once again, this time sailing in the air across the park on what appeared to be a “zip Line”. (This is actually a new ride for children that will be opening at Play-a-Round next month.) This Creature disappeared as quick as he had appeared to the amazement of the on lookers!

Back at the clubhouse, prizes were awarded for the silliest, prettiest, most creative, scariest, cutest and original design. Halloween treats and goody bags were given to all costumed participants and once again the hunchbacked creature appeared, this time taking the treat bowl and throwing treats in the air for all to grab!!!
Santi Santoriello , entertainment director at PLAY-a-Round, miniature golf and more…would like to thank all the children and their parents for making this a wonderful First Annual Costume Event.

One final note: Please be on the look out for this “hunched backed”, candy giving, creature! Last seen at PLAY-A-Round!!!
