Anguilla Tourist Board Marketing Presentation 2007

The Tourism Board have made a Marketing Presentation to a mixed audience of public and private citizens. Mrs. Amelia Vanterpool-Kubisch the Director of Tourism, gave the welcome and an overview of the different markets and the rationale for the allocation of resources. She also spoke on the goals ands objectives of the Tourist Board.

Mrs. Gina Brooks-Hodge, Deputy Director with responsibility for Product Development, spoke to the Achievements for 2006 of the Anguilla Tourist Board and its involvements. She also touched on the strategies going forward to enable Anguilla to remain competitive in the market place.
Miss Merlyn Rogers, Deputy Director with responsibility for Marketing, gave an overview of the Achievement for 2006. She also spoke of the strategies going forward.
Miss Trudy Nixon, Executive Director, spoke on aspects of the achievements for 2006 as well as highlighted other strategies to be employed in support of her colleagues.
The final presentation was made by Honourable Donna Banks, Special Advisor Tourism. She spoke to the need to increase the budget which is projected to be EC$9,525,563.00 in 2007. She also spoke about the Anguilla Experience and the theme Feeling is believing.
The audience which included the Minster of Finance and Tourism, Honourable Victor Banks, commended the Presenters for a job well done. Many expressed the view that the presentation was empowering and enable them to come to a better understanding and appreciation of the financial operations of the Anguilla Tourist Board and its overall impact on Anguilla’s sustainable development.
