Cambran, along with Kallus Rogers, another escapee, were recaptured in Dutch St. Maarten on Friday, September 8, by police there.

Cambran, a native of Dominica, was charged by the Royal Anguilla Police Force on September 11 for escaping lawful custody and appeared in the Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday, September 12.

Kallus Rogers, who was serving a life sentence for murder, has been charged by the Dutch Police for attempted murder after he reportedly fired a shot at a police officer there. When he was recaptured he allegedly had a firearm in his possession. He will remain in the custody of the Dutch Police authorities who are investigating offences committed by Rogers leading up to his recapture.

The third prisoner, Jim Allen, of Guyana, was serving a sentence of two years for an earlier escape from prison. That sentence was running with a one-year sentence for offering counterfeit currency in Anguilla. He was recaptured in St. Maarten in mid-August.

The Anguilla Police have expressed thanks and appreciation to the Dutch Law Enforcement authorities for their assistance in recapturing the three prisoners.
