"90 YEARS WITHOUT SLUMBERING, Tick, Tock"

The traditional story about a grandfather’s clock ticking non-stop for 90 years may be applied to Helena Richardson (Nancy) of North Valley, Anguilla.

On Wednesday this week, September, 6, she turned 90 years old. She is a very active and independently-minded lady who boasts: “I cook for myself and do other little things in the house.”

She enjoys a reasonable degree of health and is a regular worshipper at St. Mary’s Anglican Church. “I give God thanks and praise for what he has down for me,” she wrote in a note for The Anguillian. “It is through Him today that I am 90 years…I am thankful to Him for my dear children (four) my grandchildren (about 15) and my great grandchildren. I love them all.”

In the evening of her birthday, a small number of family and friends gathered at her home to celebrate the occasion.
