The late Ashton Gumbs
|
The officiating Minister was the Right Reverend Errol Brooks.
The late Mr. Gumbs taught at the old Valley Boys’ School and later at the then Valley Secondary School for many years before migrating to Canada in the late 1960s. He had recently returned permanently to Anguilla on retirement and, in keeping with his known love for music and singing, became a member of St. Mary’s Choir.
He is survived by his wife, former Nurse, Precious Gumbs, a number of children, his brothers Charles and Joshua Gumbs, sisters Marie Gumbs and Joycelyn Heyliger and many nephews, nieces and other relatives.
The Anguillian offers its condolences to all the bereaved relatives and friends.
