This find adds to the quantity of cannabis recently seized by the Drugs and Firearms Task Force. The most of the findings were made with the assistance of the Dutch St. Maarten Police helicopter which carried out surveillance operations over several villages where plots of the drug were under cultivation.

Last week a quantity of compressed cannabis was found, concealed under smelly animal skins, in a container at Road Bay during a joint police and customs operation. They were assisted by customs personnel from the British Virgin Islands who also brought in their search dogs.
