Sherrilyn Hodge, Company Director


Sherrilyn Hodge is the owner and Managing Director of the recently registered company Executive Corporate Services Inc. Sherrilyn started her career as a Clerical Officer in the Public Service at the age of sixteen.

After holding several temporary positions, she was confirmed to the permanent establishment, assigned to the Central Filing Registry under the supervision of the then Registry Supervisor Mrs. Meridith Gumbs. Sherrilyn considers Meridith her mentor and friend. She credits Meridith with instilling and cultivating her work ethics, that is, always to operate at the highest level and to go the extra mile.
Sherrilyn was transferred to several departments in the Public Service and was later promoted to Senior Clerical Officer in the Chief Minister’s Office. She stated that she gained new respect for this office as she appreciated the volume of work and the challenges faced in effectively dealing with the issues presented. She further stated that she thoroughly enjoyed the fast pace and utilization of varied skills required to meet the needs of the clients.

In what Sherrilyn considers to be the changing course in her career, she was promoted and transferred to the Financial Services Department/Companies Registry as Executive Officer. She joined this department at the same time that the state of the art online Registry System (ACORN) was launched. She embraced this new technology and was soon in a position to assist local and overseas agents in the use of the system. She was also responsible for the compliance of statutory filings in accordance with financial services legislation.

While with Companies Registry, Sherrilyn had the opportunity to attend many workshops and conferences and met with Overseas Agents and potential agents in Hong Kong, Singapore, UK, Miami and several Caribbean Islands.

In 2004, Sherrilyn accepted a position in the financial services private sector with a well established and respected Company Management firm. She greatly appreciates this exposure to the private sector which rounded out her experience in the area of offshore finance.

Recently, Sherrilyn was granted a Company Management License under the name Executive Corporate Services Inc. (ECSI). She is aware of the many challenges ahead but feels a sense of accomplishment while at the same time she is humbled by the opportunity. She wishes to thank all those directly and indirectly responsible for assisting her in reaching thus far. A special thanks is given to her husband and their two daughters as their support and confidence are her greatest assets. Her parents and siblings are invaluable treasures and can always be relied on.
