NBA's Scholarship Recipient Graduates


Rudy Webster, National Bank of Anguilla’s first recipient of J Vanier Hodge and James N Beard Scholarship has graduated with a joint Bachelor of Arts from Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey and the New Jersey Institute of Technology. He majored in Computer Science with a minor in Mathematics. Rudy graduated Cum Laude having maintained a cumulative grade point average of 3.68. He was inducted into the Golden Key International Honour Society in 2005.

While involved in his studies, he served as Project Manager and lead programmer of Senior Projects heading a team of five students into the development of an online database driven website. In his spare time he received A+ and Network+ certification from the Computing Technology Industry Association(CompTIA). CompTIA A+ certification confirms a technician’s ability to perform tasks such as installation, configuration, diagnosing, preventative maintenance and basic networking. In addition, CompTIA Network Certification validates the knowledge and skills of networking professionals. It is an internationally recongnised certification that recognizes a technicians ability to describe the features and functions of networking components and to install, configure and trouble shoot basic networking hardware, protocols and services.

Rudy is the son of Roland and Louise Webster and the father of Reniah and Rayana Webster.

He extends special thanks to the National Bank of Anguilla for bestowing him the honour of becoming their first J Vanier Hodge and James N Beard Scholarship, to the Government of Anguilla for their financial contribution and continued support throughout his tenure and to his parents and sister without whose constant support and assistance his endeavours would not have been possible.
