Rhona Richardson And Edison Baird

Rhona and Eddy have laid aside their political antagonism to such an extent that, according to one observer, “the wind can’t blow between them”. In the 2000 General Election, Rhona almost won the Road North seat from Eddy who beat her by a mere five votes. In 2005, however, he beat her by a wide margin of over 70 votes.
Rhona served as a Special Assistant in the Ministry of Education from 2000-2005 and for a short period in her second term and then relinquished the position. Baird, who previously served as Minister of Education, Health and Youth Affairs, in 2000-2005, is now an Opposition Member in the House of Assembly.
