Marisa Gumbs presenting cheque to Raymond Guishard

A cheque for the above sum was presented this week to President of the Association, Raymond Guishard, by NBA’s Marketing and Business Development Officer, Marisa Gumbs. She spoke of the bank’s continued interest in, and support for, sports and youth development and hoped that the footballers would gain much experience in the sport from the trip.
“I would like to thank NBA for its kind sponsorship,” Guishard said. “It is very good for us that NBA has sponsored four of the players and I hope that it will turn out to be very profitable for the bank.”
He went on: “On behalf of the Football Administration and the footballers, I offer sincere thanks and congratulations to NBA for being the first donor to come forward with its support. NBA has been with football over the years and we hope that it will continue and that through the sport the bank will be able to see tangible benefits.”
Mr. Guishard was hoping that by Friday of this week there would be some 20 other sponsors. A total of 35 persons, among them being 20 footballers, will represent Anguilla in Germany. The others will include coaches, referees, the manager of the team and officials of the Football Association, the Minister of Sports, the Director of Sports and a media person.
