HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY MEETS ON MAY 8


The Anguilla House of Assembly is to meet on Monday, May 8 at 10.00 a.m. at the Atlin Harrigan OBE Parliamentary Building.

According to the agenda, under the “Unofficial Notices” subhead will be a statement by the Second Nominated Member, Keesha Webster.

In another item, the Minister of Finance, Economic Development, Investment, Commerce and Tourism, Victor Banks, will move a series of motions with respect to duty-free concessions for churches, sporting organisations and the Chamber of Commerce.
Under “Government Business,” there will be the first reading of the Child Abduction and Custody Bill, 2006.

This will be followed by the second and third readings of The International Business Companies (Amendment) Bill, 2006; The Anguilla Belonger Commission (Amendment) Bill, 2006; The Financial Administration & Audit (Amendment) Bill; 2006; The Trades, Businesses, Occupations and Professions Licensing (Amendment) Bill, 2006; and The Anguilla Tourist Board (Amendment) Bill, 2006.
