Mutty was a founding member of the ABC, when it started in 1992, who worked hard for the Club up until the time of her death in 2000. A plaque was unveiled by past president of the ABC, Lady Gumbs, who said it was an honour to dedicate the tree to a stalwart member of the Club. The tree, on the main Blowing Point Road, is already flourishing as it has been cared for by the club members.

President of ABC, Leslie Richardson, paid tribute to Mutty as he recalled her enthusiasm as a member of the Horticultural Society, a contributor to the Agricultural Exhibitions, a seamstress, a cake and pastry maker and a lover of her garden where she grew many flowers and fruit trees. He described her jovial spirit, her generosity, her love for everyone and her support of the ABC.

Marie Connor, speaking on behalf of the family, thanked the ABC for honouring her mother, saying that it is one thing to know that your mother is special but it is good to know that others think so too. She said that her mother did everything with passion and lived her life for people and for agriculture. Samuel Connor described the event as an honour, and as her son, is pleased that the ABC remembers and appreciates his mother. He recalled that most of her social pleasures were related to the ABC and events it held.

The short ceremony was chaired by Hyacinth Hughes, corresponding secretary. The opening prayer and welcome were given by Elvet Hughes, treasurer, and the vote of thanks by Vice President, Catherine Rieman.
