Junior Optimist Clubs Install Board Members

The 2005/06 board members elected to serve the ‘Kids for the Future’ and ‘Best End’ Junior Optimist Clubs were recently officially installed in their various offices by Optimist Avon Carty, Lieutenant Governor of Zone 13 of the Caribbean District of Optimist International.

The installation ceremony took place at Campus A of the ALHCS. It was attended by the members of both junior Optimist clubs as well as several members of the Optimist Club of Anguilla, which sponsored the junior clubs.
The Best End Junior Optimist Club comprises students at Campus B of the ALHCS while the members of the Kids for the Future Junior Optimist Club are all at Campus A.
Serving on the executive of the Best End Junior Optimist Club for a second term are:
Secretary Candra Simon; Vice President Verlyndah Rogers; Treasurer Keema Boland and Director Keneka Bailey. Taking up the mantle of leadership for her club is President Akeshma Rogers (who served as a director in the previous year) and serving for the first time in the capacity of director is Jemma Findlay. The immediate past president is Nina Rodriguez.

The new executive of the Kids for the Future Junior Optimist Club, all serving for the first time in their respective offices, are: President Krystie Webster; vice president Krystal Webster, secretary and past president Calyn Harrigan, treasurer Jennifer Mussington and Director Kefentsi Davis.
Serving as Lieutenant Governor of Zone 13 of the recently formed Junior Optimist Caribbean District of Optimism is charter president of the Kids for the Future Junior Optimist Club, Ojeda Vanterpool.
