Four Escape Serious Hurt


Four persons travelling in two vehicles have escaped serious hurt in a collision on the Blowing Point Road.

The accident occurred on Friday, March 17. A taxi bus, A 3153, driven by Monsel Richardson of Blowing Point, with his wife as passenger, was travelling to the north at the time. The other vehicle, a jeep, A 5973, travelling to the south, was occupied by two male Spanish persons one of whom, said to be Mohan Kallandia of Stoney Ground, was the driver.

The jeep ended up well over 100 feet in the bush from the point of impact and over 30 feet from the side of eastern side of the road. Both vehicles were extensively damaged.

The accident victims were taken to the hospital for observation and treatment.
