Patrick Webster Maintains Fishing Supremacy

Some young men from Island Harbour are continuing to find much pleasure in competitive fishing in the deep waters of Anguilla. So far, charter boat captain and ace fisherman, Patrick Webster, is maintaining the lead he set last week.

Pat made his fishing trip some 25 miles out accompanied by two visitors – Grant and Wade Baker, a father and son from Morristown, New Jersey, who chartered the boat. Pat’s catch on Tuesday, March 21, was two wahoos (about 20-25 pounds), a tuna (6-7pounds) and a king fish which actually weighed 65 pounds, the biggest seen in recent times.

As part of the competition, visitors help to catch the fresh fish, take them to a skilled Anguillian chef and enjoy the cook-up.
