The police release said the young mechanic was last seen by his family at around 10 o’clock on Saturday morning, March 4, 2006. He reportedly stated that he was going to St. Martin to meet with friends and would be back later that day.
The release went on: “Louvan travelled to St. Martin in a speed boat owned by a friend. The friend dropped him there but Louvan failed to turn up again for his ride home. He spoke to members of his family during the afternoon to say he would be leaving shortly for Anguilla.
“The friends Louvan had travelled to St. Martin to meet maintain that he never turned up to meet them either.
“The Anguilla Police are working with French and Dutch forces and details have been circulated. Supt. Proctor, Detective Inspector Watson and Detective Inspector Proctor are leading enquiries.
“Police stress that this was regatta weekend and many Anguillians were in St. Martin. Louvan is well known in Anguilla and any sightings of him at all would be appreciated. If you saw Louvan in St. Martin we need to know where and at what time plus who he was with if possible.
“Calls can be made in confidence to police on 497 2333, DI Watson on 497 2609 or Supt. Proctor on 497 5300.”
